Spirit of Remembrance Armistice Tours Villers-Bretonneux

**A very SPECIAL OFFER from Spirit of Remembrance: Join us at the Villers-Bretonneux Armistice day Centenary**

To commemorate and remember - when the guns forever fell silent on the Western Front at 11am on 11 November (Remembrance Day) 1918 - And for Australia - from a population of less than 5 million, where 60,000 men were killed & 156,000 wounded. As a proportion of its fighting force of men who were actually exposed to a theatre of war, Australia’s army suffered more deaths, more hospitalisations for wounding and illness and injury than Britain, Germany, France, Canada or the United States. Winning this war came at way too high a cost for our nation - even now. A truly horrific legacy.

However - to mark this one in a lifetime centenary - we have constructed a series of special Armistice centenary tours that will forever mark this occasion. To mark the release of these tours we are offering special Remembrance Day ONLY - set of REDUCED prices where - if you book and pay your deposit by 11pm ON 11 November 2017 AEST, We will extend a 10% discount on our Paris Day Tour, Our Armistice Value Tour and our Armistice Deluxe Tour.

                                           ABOUT SPIRIT OF REMEMBRANCE
Tomb of the unknown Soldier - Australian War Memorial
Our Unknown Soldier
     "Now your home mate"..
The entombment of Australia's unknown soldier on 11 November 1993 at the Australian War Museum in Canberra was a significant and highly emotional occasion for all Australians, many of whom had waited decades for the event. The remains were recovered from Adelaide Cemetery near Villers-Bretonneux where Australian soldiers won a great victory on Anzac Day 1918. The body was brought home on a specially chartered Qantas flight, with the jet renamed 'Spirit of Remembrance' for the trip. We at Spirit are honoured & proud to carry our name: "Spirit of Remembrance".
Our Unknown Soldier interred: "He is all of them. And he is one of us" (Recital by ex-PM Paul Keating)
        ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who is Spirit of Remembrance? We are a fully dedicated Battlefield & Remembrance tour & travel company specialising in HIGH QUALITY battlefield tours and travel for Australians -  with our company owned and operated by Australians. We are NOT a budget tour operator that promotes/sells our services via 'budget price leaders' (and making you pay extra for a host of extras along the way.) We firmly believe that our customers should be treated as we like to be treated when we travel: with great care, EXPERT product and historical background knowledge, total professionalism and high quality product(s) included throughout your travel experience with us.

Aussie Slouch Hat Our founders hail from a proud military history background, with our Managing Director and our Marketing and Sales Director both having extensive interests and historical knowledge in Armed Forces remembrance events, with our Marketing & Sales Director also a Vietnam veteran.

Of great importance is that we are based here at your destination - in the same time zone to handle any urgent changes or issues that occur (.. it happens - it's France/Europe.. ) & we are only 90 minutes away from the actual Australian WW1 battlefields in France and Belgium, and a few hours further to the Australian WW2 battlegrounds of Italy, Greece, Crete, & North Africa. We live here. We know here! We also provide real 'hands on' knowledge and support in the same time-zone - while you are here in the UK and Europe.

Aussie Slouch Hat We are FULLY LICENCED travel professionals. Many other battlefield tour operators are not. Your money is TOTALLY SAFE with us.

Aussie Slouch Hat We particularly specialise in France and Belgium (WW1 Australian Sectors on the Western front) operating tours from both the UK (London) and also from Paris/Lille/Arras/Amiens in France.
The performance of the First AIF in France and Belgium 1917/18 has no parallel in our military history.

Aussie Slouch Hat OUR GUIDES: Our highly experienced EXPERT historian guides (many ex-military) - whom most are  members of the elite Guild of Battlefield Guides, are individual experts for specific AUSTRALIAN campaigns, battles and battlegrounds. Our guides 'walk the ground' specifically where Australians fought, such as (WW1) : Pozières, Fromelles, Bullecourt,  Dernancourt, Villers-Bretonneux, Le Hamel, Polygon Wood, Mont St Quentin, Ypres, Passchendaele & Arras. WW2: Normandy, D-Day, Tobruk, El Alamein, Greece, Crete, Syria & Tunisia. We also visit their graves and Australian memorials wherever possible.

Aussie Slouch Hat We also offer premium "tailor made" tours to the WW1 Australian Sector on the Western Front - tailored to your exact requirements.

Aussie Slouch Hat Our client testimonials say it all: "The trip was one of the most moving and powerful experiences of my life. You brought everything to life, so much so that I could almost see the battles unfolding"..  "I will be sharing my experience and this history with family & friends forever"... "I will hold your name in high regard and will recommend you to any would be visitors"... "The whole tour was expertly put together and meticulously researched... Thank you!" ...."We will always treasure our memories of ANZAC Day. Thank you for helping us learn more about the Australians role over the years 1916-1918"

Aussie Slouch Hat By booking your tour or itinerary direct through us you also avoid all the expensive middleman mark-ups so often applied to your tour cost(s) when purchasing overseas travel itineraries in Australia. Our prices are excellent and provide great value for money with no hidden charges.

Aussie Slouch Hat Of great importance is that our Battlefield and Remembrance tours are NOT a 10 minute 'bus stop' in a car park near a battlefield. They are designed with great care and great research - all tailored to our clients individual needs.

Aussie Slouch Hat Our expert battlefield historian guides and our expert research division provide extensive family history research on your ancestors - both in Australia and here in the UK/Europe with a variety of *top level UK and Australian resources (*some actually closed to the public) such as the National Archives, Regimental HQ's, Army/Air Force records etc plus Red Cross archives, Trench Maps, Artillery Maps etc.

Aussie Slouch Hat We can also provide information on "self drive" tours" of the WW1 Australian Battlefields in Flanders, Belgium and France, designed in conjunction with the new Australian Remembrance Trail. This great 'self drive' holiday concept allows you to travel and discover the WW1 Australian battlefields and surrounds at you own pace and with your own itinerary!
