We are a specialist Battlefield and Remembrance travel company based at your destination - with the main Australian theatres of war for WW1 and WW2 based on our doorstep in England, Europe, Greece, the Middle East and North Africa.
By booking your tour or itinerary direct through us you can avoid all the expensive middleman mark-ups and currency surcharges so often applied when purchasing overseas travel itineraries in your home country. Our prices are excellent and provide great value for money with no hidden charges.
We live here. We know here. We love here! We provide real 'hands on' knowledge and support in the same time-zone - while you are here in the UK and Europe. The main battlefields of Europe are on our doorstep and in most cases - only mere hours away from us.
We only use highly experienced EXPERT historian guides all who are members of the elite Guild of Battlefield Guides, and who besides being overall experts for battlefield and remembrance tours are also absolute individual experts for specific campaigns, battles and battlegrounds. Amongst our guides we have a number who are experts in WW1 and WW2 specifically where Australians fought ,such as WW1: Pozières, Fromelles, Bullecourt, Dernancourt, Villers-Bretonneux, le Hamel, Mont St Quentin, Ypres, Passchendaele & Arras. For WW2: Tobruk, El Alamein, Greece, Crete, Syria & Tunisia.
Besides providing small to larger tours, we can also create either 'drive yourself' tours or small mini-bus -'passenger mover' driver/guide tours (also with an expert historian/guide). As an example we could create a 'tailor-made' Western Front WW1 tour in France and Belgium including all Australian forces battlefields and memorials - either directly from London or from Paris including London and or Paris accommodation and attractions.
We do NOT currently operate 'set departure - set itinerary' battlefield tours, instead we tailor ALL our Remembrance and Battlefield tours specifically to suit our clients needs. Our ability to create any travel itinerary or tailor made tour for you from 1 person to 500 makes us unique, and we can mix and match by price, accommodation, and itinerary to suit your requirements and budget using wherever possible central upmarket hotels and modern transport options with a dedicated expert historian/guide and separate driver.
Our tours cater for all types of people and all types of itineraries: individuals, small groups, family groups and larger groups. Of great importance is that our Battlefield and Remembrance tours are NOT a 10 minute bus stop in a car park near a battlefield... We 'walk the actual ground' where your Australian ancestors fought', often finding as close as possible the location where they fell i.e. WW1 ( the Somme, Fromelles, Ypres, Passchendaele Bullecourt, Dernancourt, Villers-Bretonneux, le Hamel and Mont St Quentin etc. We also visit their graves and Australian memorials wherever possible. Our expert battlefield historian guides can also do extensive family history research on your ancestors here in the UK with a variety of *top level resources (*some actually closed to the public) such as the National Archives, Regimental HQ's, Army/Air Force records etc.
